Solar Hot Water

Solar thermal or solar hot water absorbs energy from the sun and transfers the heat via heat exchangers to hot water providing temperatures of between 55 and 65°C.

Ideally, the solar heat collector should be roof-mounted and south facing. There are different types of collector; flat plate; evacuated tubes and solar matting. Water is passed through each type transferring heat from the sun to the water.
