Low Voltage Batteries We supply and fit low voltage batteries which operate at around 50V. They can supply up to 5kW on single phase installations. High Voltage Batteries High voltage batteries operate above 100V. They can supply up to 5kW on single phase installations and higher capacities on 3 phase systems. Hybrid Inverter/AC Coupled Inverters Hybrid inverters have a DC PV connection and allow batteries to be charged by solar panels or grid supplied elctricity as well as providing electricity for self consumption or export. AC coupled inverters have the same function but do not have the solar input however a separate solar inverter is used. Both hybrid and AC coupled inverters can charge batteries. AC inverters require external inverters supplied for solar or other power sources. The efficiency of both types are similar. Battery storage systems can charge using cheap rate electricity and the stored power used when the tariff increases or sold back to the grid under a smart tariff arrangement. | ||
