Simultaneous Heating and Cooling Design and installation of systems capable of providing simultaneous heating and cooling. As well as providing simultaneous heating and cooling these systems can pump heat from one part of a building to another so heat is not wasted. For example, hot water can be heated when a building or parts of a building are cooled using a separate chilled water system. A swimming pool can be heated in summer using heat extracted when cooling a building. The technique is suitable for commercial or large domestic applications and require a four pipe distribution system. One pair is used for space heating and the other pair are used for chilled water. The system can be configured for both air source and ground source applications Air to Air heating and Cooling. Air to air cooling can be used to cool and heat individual rooms or areas of a building. They provide either heating or cooling. Currently the systems cannot be installed under MCS certification. This currently is under review by MCS and will become eligible in the future. Historically the application has not been adopted by MCS because of the difficulty of measuring the system performance. | ||
